Any noticeable power increase on 796 with LV cat eliminator?

LV cat delete is one of the best mods. First thing I ever did on my 796. It takes off like 10 pounds off the the bike and gives what feels like a little more power. You will have some increased backfire with this for sure unless you run the dp ecu or remap. If you have the termi pipes with this it sounds fucking amazing. I would do this before any exhaust system because it just makes any system sound way better.

Got mine from here: LeoVince 2010-2011 Ducati Hypermotard 796 Slip-On Exhaust Link Pipe

ok sounds like you guys just convinced me. buying via motowheels too. i'm going to get my stock ecu reflashed so i would still have my DP just in case.

I strongly recommend calling Dave or Jon over at redline performance in Yorktown ,VA . Dave is known on a few ducati forums as "the doctor" . they also do dyno tuning. I've talked to a few Ducati performance guys coast to coast and they have all backed up his reputation on reflashes and tuning

LV cat delete on 796

Still have stock cans and it sounds bad a$$ !!!! Had no idea the stock cat would restrict the exhaust that much . Seriously doesn't sound like the same bike !!! You can now feel the exhaust standing 10 feet behind the bike !!

Sooooo are you saying that you no longer need an aftermarket slip-on exhaust system?? Hmm? ;) Aloha Alex

O2's were turned off with reflash. Just ask whoever does it . I used redline performance in Yorktown ,VA . The slip ons are made by fresco. Their an Italian performance exhaust
Company that make exhaust systems for way more than our hypers .

Email Andrea at :info@ffbyfresco.com . Communication is only through email so try not to get aggravated . The site isn't very user friendly so be patient. Here's the linkMotorcycle Exhausts FF By Fresco ? Production and Sale of Sport Exhaust Systems for Bikes - Fresco Exhaust Systems

So you bought them directly from the manufacturer?
From the photos on their web site, it looks like they have 2 types of CF slip-ons. Oval shaped like yours, and round with metal ends.
Do both types fit the 796?

And also if your on east coast and looking for reflash call redline performance in Yorktown ,Va . 757-989-5000 and ask for Jon or Dave . They do the reflashes and turn off the o2's for $300 . In one day turn around . Shipping would be way faster than sending ecu to west coast . Dave has been tuning Ducati and aprillia bikes for years .

Not a problem ! First the leaking issue . If the pipe is leaking at the cylinder you will clearly hear a spitting/ticking sound coming from that area. As for the reflash , these bikes are shipped to USA extremely de-tuned to pass all emissions for both EU and US . In other words you could almost breathe the air coming from exhaust on a stock bike. ( just figure of speech). Its running extremely lean . Reflashing the ecu will eliminate the low end jerking and chugging by allowing a richer (more fuel) mixture which fixes the jerking. The bike also pulls harder throughout the rpm range simply because of the added fuel to the mixture.
The o2 sensors control the air/fuel mixture from 0-5000 rpm's (which is the closed loop area). That's why there turned off when reflash is done so the new firmware on the ecu has complete control of the air/fuel management from 0 all the way to the rev limiter. You would now have a complete open loop system which is what you want. Especially when thinking power commander or bizazz fuel control modules .
This is all to the best of my knowledge so anyone feel free to chime in if I'm not accurate with this

They're almost as nice looking as the Termi's but without the steep cost.
Ghost rider was lol but I have to be careful on youtube or I find myself 5 hours later looking at crap & wondering how I got there!
