UPDATE: easy remedy, removed the oem nut and replaced with an acorn nut that was bulbous enough to reach/touch the steering stops...maintains good turn radius and prevents damper from touching the tank.
I know I'm new to the SC1000 world but very not new to motorcycles but for the friggin' life of me I can't seem to remove the steering stop adjustment bolts. I added an Ohlins steering damper and need to prevent the damper from touching the tank but there isn't enough adjustment in the bolts. I was gonna find a larger nut possibly to make up some of the distance ot remove the oem bolt snd swap in a longer bolt.
I back it out (from the front of the bike under the headlight with the bolt coming out towards the front) and it just hard stops. I mean hard stops about halfway out. In either direction. I assume (maybe incorrectly) that it isn't supposed to back out going in the direction of the tank as it looks like there's a bit of a head where the allen goes into. (If this all makes sense)
