Show us what you wear and why you bought it?
What were the distinguishing features that made whatever you're wearing important for you?
I'll start this off excluding helmets and other gear. I have four jackets and pants going back no more than ten years.
At the time I had purchased a Panigale. Consequently, I purchased as follows mostly for the track:

Then I got the Monster and got the following perforated leather jacket:

For day trip touring with the Multistrada I have a leather/ mesh combo with removal liners:

and for hot urban riding I have textile mesh:

I am an old fat man and I do not look cool on the Multistrada.
I wear a Neotec 2 in gray, a Klim Badlands (whatever the latest version is) Pro in hi-viz & gray.
Black revit Tornado pants w/ liner.
Daytona Roadstar GTX boots.
Racer gloves.

In San Diego summers I wore a Motoport hi-viz kevlar jacket w/ a Klim nacpac w/ hydration bladder because shit is hot. All hi-viz all the time. I may not look cool, but passing sportbikes while sitting bolt upright looking like the old-ass man I am is fun.

I borrowed this picture from Scott. I have the same kit as the pretty lady, I am however slightly more manly, and use the mens version. To cover my face, I too use a Neotec 2, in white. I have IXS waterproof boots, and cheap leather gloves. You could think I'm pretty dull, and it would be true. I have, and still have a lot of gear. Don't use it though. Well. I do use the Scorpion EXO R1 helmet for track, the viewport on the Neotec is pretty small. And I use a crusty old Alpinestars 2 pc leather suit when I want to look cool on the bike. But I don't. Look cool, that is. Don't like Hi-Viz, but prefer color, and laminated gear. It's just so simple. Honorable mention to my Scott Dualraid DP jacket, I use that the two days it's really hot. I had a Dainese mesh jacket too, but a friend borrowed it a few years ago. I think it's his now. And I have a Harvarssons jacket for when my wife isn't two up. And a BMW one-piece suit. And. And.

RS Taichi mostly but also BeriK in the winter. I bought the Taichi suit for track and faster paced back road rides…and a matching leather jacket for lesser paced rides. Like someone else posted though….I have lots of other gear too. Lots.

The Berik adventure gear I bought a couple of years ago….I was looking to get back to riding every day, regardless of weather like when I was young & single. The connection to my bike was so much more intuitive and I felt much fluid when riding….still not back to that level quite yet but getting there.

For boots, a mix of Alpinestar, Forma and RS Taichi to Richa in winter. Kinda more of the same line of reasoning. The Alpinestar & Forma (ice pros) were purchased for use with my one piece leathers. Ostensibly for track use and fast paced back road rides.

The rest, including the Taichi boots are more for seasonal use during commute riding. The Richa boots are water proof and insulated so mainly worn with the Berik adventure gear for winter commutes.

Gloves….more RS Taichi stuff, and of late Orina Sport Handschühe….their Tesla heated gloves are amazing in the winter. I also have a set of their Titan Specter sport gloves which I find equally well made and comfortable. Looking at the rest of their line for summer and intermediate weather gloves for commuting.

Helmets….Nolan/X-Lite and KYT…Truthfully, I bought the KYT on a whim. Several Moto2 and Moto3 riders were sporting them and I found a US retailer on eBay selling them.

They aren’t Arai but they are quite comfortable and quite light weight too. I had two, a Viñales replica (Isaac not Mav) and a Leopard Foggia replica. But late last summer I crashed and destroyed the Viñales replica.

I have 2 X-Lite X803 carbon and X802 carbon…mainly for how light & comfortable they are. Also a Nolan N60G for commuting. Came from the dealer with a pin lock installed and features a drop down tinted visor. It’s as near a perfect commute helmet as I’ve ever found. Excellent in winter, well ventilated and comfortable fitting. My only complaint would be, it’s not as light as the X-Lites.

In the winter I have a Dainese and Alpinestars jacket, the later being a bit warmer, so it depends on how cold it is. as far as boots go in the winter, I have an older pair of Sidi that have held up well, also have some Dainese booties, but my Vans boots are probably my go to 95% of the time because they are thicker, more protective, and offer way better grip. Gloves in the winter, I have a pair of GP pros.

Warmer weather, April-October here in texas, I dont usually wear a jacket, more often then not just a flannel or hoodie, a pair of old skool vans, and some summer joe rocket gloves.

I used to have the Dainese fighter leather jacket but I have since transitioned to textile clothes for the sake of comforts. Right now, for winter, I use Dainese sport master jacket and trouser. They are gore-tex with a stand-alone liner so it's windproof and waterproof. For summer, I have dainese energyca jacket with ducati spidi textile pant. I mostly use Dainese simply they fit my body very well. And their design is excellent.

For boots, I use TCX Clima and Dainese sport master. I also have a pair of Alpinestar Supertech but I don't use it much anymore.

As for gloves, either Alpinestar Morph or Aragon. They are short, textile gloves and very comfortable. I use heated grips so they aren good for winter as well.

On the topic of ear plugs: I have always wore them but I still suffered from Ducatinnitus Panigalus.
In an attempt to minimize further damage, I just got a pair of MotoSafe Pro ear plugs. Haven't ridden with them yet but looking forward to the improvement over the hardware ones I use to wear.

Aussie made Dririder Compass 4 Textile jacket with liners, Bell Revolver (need to see my face when entering Defence bases) Five Stunt summer gloves and Five Evo heated gloves, RST boots, 2XU warmup training long-johns (for when it starts getting colder). And probably the best thing I have come across ever, Aussie Brand "Step One" Bamboo underwear (and yes they do ladies as well) for a prostate cancer guy, riding in Aussie summers these are the best.

BITD it was always a leather jacket and jeans, supplemented by some Navy foul weather deck overalls (waterproof and insulated).
The gear I've got currently all started when I got back into m/c in 2009 with a BMWR1200GSA - so I had to go all power ranger. I started with an Olympia airglide jacket (all mesh with waterproof liner) and Olympia mesh pants(also with waterproof liner).

Daughter and I on New Mexico - Montana trip. She has a Tourmaster mesh jacket and Olympia mesh pants. It was summertime, but we did need the liners in Montana.

Since I live in the southern desert, I thought that mesh was gonna be the way, with the warm/waterproof liners to make up the other seasons. Turns out to be too much of a compromise, so I added an Olympia Voyager jacket (Waterproof with sleeve, pocket and back zip vents - HiViz Orange) and matching (waterproof, black) Olympia pants. And I also added another Olympia waterproof jacket - this one with large zip down vent panels on chest and back:

If it's really cold, I go for the Voyager jacket, but the vent panel jacket really is an all seasons setup with the solid pants.

Also, electrics! I have an electric jacket liner and electric glove liners which will let me do trips in weather down to freezing if needed. I note that I use electric glove LINERS because I have XXL hands and some troubles finding gloves that fit and work well. Electric heated gloves are not available in very many styles.

I also want to comment on jacket lengths. All of mine are waist length because "skirted" parka-like jackets have to fold with you as you sit the bike, and tend to funnel wind up into the torso. YMMV.

I recently got a pair of Hood riding jeans to replace my aging Hein Gericke leather pants. They are fully Kevlar lined with Level 2 CE armour. I like them. They're comfy and it's reassuring to know that they are supposed to be as protective as my old leather pants. Hope I never find out how tough they are. I always wear an armored leather jacket and gloves and my AGV SportModular helmet. And a Helite airbag vest.

I'm on a mouse grey GT1000, and therefore wear armored mouse grey heavy leathers or Klim's "Asphalt/Hi-Viz" Induction Pro jacket. Grey/white Neotec 2 mounted with Brake Free brake lights. Caulaincourt Munro moto boots. Held gloves. Northern California outfit this, we never know what kind of weather we get these days.

Dri Rider jeans with kevlar. 3 different textile jackets Dri Rder, Macna and Ducati.'depending on temperaure. Arai helmet with photo chromatic pinlock. Gloves 2 pairs Dri rider adventure and Ixon. 3XL gloves means I have to look long and far. Dririder boots.

Don't care what it all looks like, inside my helmet I cants see anything but gloves and wrists. As long as I am comfortable and free to work the controls.

And depending on weather, I have two pairs of Alpinestars boots, and gloves.

Bates custom textile jacket, Lee Parks deerskin gloves (awesome!), Styl Martin boots, and HJC helmets. Note: in this pic, I am wearing street shoes, as my right foot was swollen, from surgery, and it would not fit in my favorite pair of Italian boots (got them in 1985).

Formally Arai Helmets, and Helimot Gloves.

Loved the Arai's (way expensive), and the Helimot's, until Helmut Kluckner, unfortunately, decided to close up shop, and quit making the finest gloves I had ever worn. Custom made, and they lasted me for nine seasons.

OK so here's 'some of' the stuff I wear and own. I ALWAYS wear my Helite vest. I decided to not make this an all inclusive list...see my note. Protection is the primary reason for my choices. After high siding at 140 on the track wearing custom-made team leathers and an Arai Quantum, I know firsthand the value of GREAT gear. So I choose what will protect me on the street. AND what will be comfortable for the weather and conditions I ride in.

I wear gear that is a color match to the bike I am riding on that day. Sometimes I change gear several times a day because I change bikes for a different ride. I know, I’m mentally messed up. In general I’m black green white and red when I ride my Ducati. Then I am blue and silver when I am riding my BMWs. Then I am HRC Racing colors with my Spencer Helmet when I am riding my Honda.

Ive been wearing Arai RX7 / Corsair for years - tested a few of them and they kept my head in one piece so I go back to them. They aren't the most quiet but they work well Interestingly I find that the US version don't fit my head as well as the European versions. Currently wearing a Rea Rep as its also the Italian flag colors

Just changed by boots from long time Sidi Vertebrae to Daniese Axial D2's.. kind of weird if you are long time traditional race boot wearer but pretty cool and very comfortable. A pain in the ass to get off though !

Summer Jacket - Dainese D-Air with back protector
Winter Jacket - Dainese Carve Master 2 - excellent and highly recommonded
Trousers - Dainese leather tousers, years old but fit well and have velco for knee sliders. They zip into my jacket.
Suit - Dainese Laguna Seca
Gloves - Alipinestar SuperTech - first time I have ever bought gloves that came in a gift box..

I buy nearly all my gear from motocard in Spain, It gets delivered in a week, never any customs fees and is far cheaper than buying it in the US.
