What were the distinguishing features that made whatever you're wearing important for you?
I'll start this off excluding helmets and other gear. I have four jackets and pants going back no more than ten years.
At the time I had purchased a Panigale. Consequently, I purchased as follows mostly for the track:

Then I got the Monster and got the following perforated leather jacket:

For day trip touring with the Multistrada I have a leather/ mesh combo with removal liners:

and for hot urban riding I have textile mesh:
