Ride height on an M900?

I'm considering replacing my recently deceased Hypermotard with a pre-1999 Monster. I've always loved those bikes and for my next bike I'd like something a little less crazy than the Hyper. The thing is, my Hyper was the perfect height for me, I'm 6'1" and it's all in my legs. So are there any taller Monster riders out there that don't have any problems comfort wise? Until I get to try one on myself I won't really know but I was curious about other people's opinions.

I believe the hoop style linkage on the older monsters is adjustable at the heim joints. The monsters with the rod style linkage can be raised to give a taller ride height. My boyfriend is 6'1ish and he rides the monster with no issues.

FYI, there's not a whole lot of ride height you can gain via the heim joints, even if you screw them out as far as they can safely go, because they're not very long--unless yours are now screwed in all the way

But, as was said, increasing the rear ride height will make the bike handle differently (and probably lean farther over when it's on the sidestand), but it won't give you much more legroom between the seat and footpegs.

Thanks for the encouraging responses. There's definitely a lot of legroom on the hyper which I got pretty spoiled by. As long as my knees aren't banging into the handlebars it sounds like there are enough adjustment options to make it work. Plus I'm guessing a Monster is much narrower which will help out with lane splitting.

Update!

The M900 ride height issue has been solved by -- getting a 900SS instead! Someone nabbed the Monster I had been eyeing but right after that a 1995 900SS/CR became available for a good price so I grabbed it. This was the bike I had traded in for a Hypermotard but had always regretted getting rid of and now it's come back to me. Circle of life!
