Gday, I have a 2021 V4s sport and want to try different brake pads. Stock ones are (61341341A) I only ride on the road at a moderate to fast pace. I know that my bike has M50 brembo calipers that are shared with the PP version and several other bikes. Panigale etc. So I assume any brake pads that fit them would fit mine.

The PP brake caliper part number is 61341271A. Does anyone know what the corresponding Brembo part number is? Is this a SA compound brake pad? The closest I can tell is the Brembo 07BB37SA pad. When searching Ducati part numbers is doesn't really give you much info about the actual compound of the brake itself. Then when searching Brembo website my bike doesnt come up.

Any info would be appreciated.

So I have done about 500Km's on the new brake pads. "Awesome" is the word to describe them. They change the feel of the brakes so much. I only ride on road and really only use back brake for slow manoeuvres and maybe a little trail braking into a fast corner. These front pads have great feel and really pull the bike up hard when you get on them. Very happy with the result.

Just from my experience, from new I was not super thrilled with the brakes on my V4s, good at initial bite but heavy stops seemed to take significantly more effort at the lever than one would expect and did not inspire much confidence so I was also considering a pad change. However after a good bleed with new fluid, flushing the calipers and tying back the lever for a couple of nights along with 4000 miles of run in I think the brakes are much better than new. Not sure if it was the bleed or the bedding in miles but the brakes do inspire much more confidence in a hard brake than when new.

I recently installed new Brembo rotors and 07BB37LA pads. (1260S Multi) Proggresive bite, better stopping power than the OEM. My only concern is a hi pitch squeek. Not sure whats up with that. And Carpimoto prices are unbelievable... Not sure how they do it....And it shipped from Italy to me in the states and was here in 3 days.

I had a look at the Z04's which are a race pad. The problem is that the pads don't work well unless they are hot. You can't build enough temp into them on the road.

Here's a link about the different Brembo brake compounds. After watching this Im going to try the 07BB37SA compound , which are coloured red.

The video has part numbers for the 2012-2014 multistrada, but the bit Im interested in is the letter after it. LA, SA, SC, SR. all front pads which fit V4s are 07BB37 followed by the two letters.

Hi Jonny,

I used to think my Multistrada V4S had decent (front) brakes until I bought my KTM Super Duke 1390R Evo. Granted the Ducati has an extra 100 pounds compared to the KTM, but there is a noticeable difference in initial grab (lacking) and full stop. I tried EBC green pads and they don't perform as well as the stock Brembo's. You mentioned that you went with Brembo sintered racing pads (P/N 07BB37SR) and were happy with those. Are you still happy with them or considering other options next time?

Thanks,
Bob

I paid attention to the brakes yesterday after I first read this thread. I'm on stock pads, and I noticed they really work well after warming up. Initial bite and performance requires some extra squeezing when they're cold, but after warming up they perform very well. I'm at 2500mi and they're bedded / broken in. But my initial reaction was similar to @dddd - right after buying it and getting used to it, it felt like the brakes were underpowered for the size of the bike.
I had also remembered my 2014 Multi brakes - those things were very undersized for what was needed on these bikes (weren't they like 280mm or something? they were NOT 330mm) - and the stock pads weren't great on them either - but the V4S performance is quite nice IMHO - enough that I would stay w/ stock pads when replacement time comes.

When I first rode my V4 multi I to disliked the front pads, way to hard and lacked initial bite. I decided immediately to replace with my favorite pads "EBC HH", however after about 4000 k's and a few spirited rides I'm now finding it a lot better, (either they are bedding in or I'm getting use to them) to the point I'm now willing to give them a bit more time
How many K's have you put on them ??

My 22 PP owners manual lists friction material for front brake BRM10A HH and rear friction material TOSHIBA TT 2182 FF. The front brake on my PP is outstanding. When I will be replacing my stock pads I will use the same.
