Was thinking about getting some more power out of my hyper and was wondering if anyone has installed a MWR airbox cover and how does something like this compare with doing velocity stacks. From what I see the MWR box cover costs 150 and the velocity stacks are about 300. I do not want to compromise the filtering of air into the bike and would prefer to do it on my own. I hate letting anyone else touch my bike (dealer) cuz they dont care for her like I do. Any advice or recommendations?

I have the big MWR (top replacement) running with full termi 2-1 and race cams with ecu. The bike makes tons and tons of power all the way through the rev range, but runs a bit rough and surgey in the lower rpms. (I have not ridden many other hypers, but it sounds like a lot do anyway)
I have not ridden a bike with stacks, but I will say the MWR is very loud! At first I loved it, but now I always wear earplugs, and find the tone just under 5k rpm and about 1/4 throttle almost annoying. a bit buzzy.
I'm going to leave my Paul Smart stock air filter wise now. don't want to cover up my exhaust note or go deaf!
