Was thinking about getting some more power out of my hyper and was wondering if anyone has installed a MWR airbox cover and how does something like this compare with doing velocity stacks. From what I see the MWR box cover costs 150 and the velocity stacks are about 300. I do not want to compromise the filtering of air into the bike and would prefer to do it on my own. I hate letting anyone else touch my bike (dealer) cuz they dont care for her like I do. Any advice or recommendations?

I fitted the MWR. Combined with Zard headers and SilMoto pipe. Also race cams ecu but have yet to fit the cams altho I have them, just not done it yet. Bike runs awesome as is but I guess a bit rich as anyone who can keep up says they can smell fuel.........I guess that should fix itself when the cams go in. Induction noise is LOUD. Ear plugs are a must for me.......unless your just luggin round town.

Fitting the MWR lid was pretty straight forward. Had a little trouble getting the top of the old box off, but after warming it up with a heat gun I was able to cut through the glued joint with a trim knife quite easy. No reason you couldn't glue the old lid back on if you wanted to.
