Hyper 1100 vs 1100s vs evo

I wasn't really considering a non S if I'm honest but you know what it's like, Ducati update a model to an evo and then evo SP so im just trying to gauge what the older S is like.

I'll never really track the hyper I doubt, I have track bikes for that as that's what I prefer (well so far it is)

Again it's just that Evo sp's either didn't sell well or nobody wants to sell them 2nd hand as I can hardly find any.

There's some good looking 1100S's about as there are non S models but I guess ultimately I'd prefer to have the ohlins and lighter wheels.

No amount of Internet searching can give me a comparison between a new evo and old S unfortunately :)

But if there's hardly anything in it then I guess the older S is the way to go purely for the wheels etc

Not only are the wheels lighter, but the brakes on the S are so much better. It's like your throwing out Titanic's anchors lol :D . And let's not forget the carbon goodies an S has as well :D

i had a standard 1100 2009 hyper with nothing done to it and now i have an evo sp corse and the difference in torgue is substancial. the comfort is better, the height has inrease and the handeling is better. i wouls say a better bike by far for what i need it for. When i had the 1100 i wished that i had have bought the 1100s. Now that i have the evo sp, i have no regrets.
If I recall correctly, the 1100 EVO (SP) lost 0.2Nm of torque compared to the 1100(S). They do have a lighter flywheel, which might give you the feeling that it's more torquey. But that's a mod you can do to the 1100 for a couple of bucks( $150 or so? ). Getting new front end springs and oil ($120) will make handling of the 1100 much better.

The EVO SP does have 5 more HP and sits taller due to longer suspension travel.
