Just pulled mine out as I was getting the same error code. I found a piece of what looked like grey PTFE tape in the hole. I removed this and cleaned it. I need to check if it has made a difference.

Also found this on EBAY and was tempted to try it. Anyone see any words on the sensor?

The barrel of the sensor looks too short and the connector is all wrong.

My old sensor has two sets of numbers stamped into it. 490 51 124 and 0 261210. It's made by Bosch.

I have a spare that I got from Ducati Omaha . The package lists the Bosch number as DG 0 261 210 124 . The Ducati # 5524020

Cheers Guys more research needed certainly don't want to pay 150 Euro

That's the wrong sensor. You want part number 0261210124.

That's it. Just make sure the wire is long enough, but it looks like it is.

OK so I am now getting the same error code now aand it pops back after reset. Bike is running much better now though and I may try it at 30 on the trimmer of Ducatidiag

Well now

I also get an error "P0654 Engine RPM Output Circuit Malfunction". This would account for my flickering RPM indication if I am right in saying the Crank sensor and the EngineRPM sensor are the same thing ??
