Thanks Neil,

Logistically not super convenient but beggars can't be choosers I suppose.

Try MG Cycle. This is where I bought mine. They have it stock.

By the way, I have 4 extra which I dont need right now so if you are in a rush I have no problem sending mine up to you for the same price as the ones from MG Cycle. I will just buy another set.

I'm currently working on replacing my cylinder head studs and I just received a genuine Ducati made in Italy top end cylinder gasket set part number 79120031A from CMSNL. It has the valve cover gaskets in the package so they still must be made by someone. And I just checked their website and they show the valve cover gasket in stock by itself for 3 Euro.

It's been some time since I've updated the progress on my restoration. The swing arm and frame are now at my painter's shop as both have been welded, and repaired. In the case of the swing arm, I had my welder install some spools for secure storage on my swing arm stand.

The frame is now painted with the wheels and paint repair to some paint damage on the tank next in cue.

I'm waiting for some gaskets from GP motorcycles so that I can complete the engine tune up, and will hopefully be able to reassemble the motorcycle in a few weeks.

That white frame looks great! Now for the hard part (at least it was/is for me)...not scratching it up while putting the bike back together.

Thank you! Absolutely right. The paint should have a good long time to cure before I cross that bridge, but it will still be challenging.

I covered my bike in blue tape but still somehow managed to ding up the pristine white paint!

Isn't that frustrating? It looks very clean though....especially the engine.

One of the benefits of my build is that my engine is in a stand that is bolted to my lift, so I don't have to lift the engine into the frame, I can lower the frame on to the engine, which I'm hoping will make things a little easier.

Nice Bruin blue tape!

Are you using a AGM or other lightweight battery in your Super Sport? I'd love to ditch my acid battery with something that is sealed, and lighter, and that fits in the stock battery box.

What are my options?

AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries are lead acid. They are sealed but not light. Motobatt makes a direct replacement for the Yuasa YB-16AL that was standard in the Supersport. I have been using them without issue.

Ah yes, thank you for correcting me. And thank you for the recommendation.

Speaking of batteries, is anyone running one of the Optima Lithium battery? They're not cheap ($250) but they only weight 3lbs, and losing almost ten (the MotoBatt AGM is 13.78) right under the gas tank sounds attractive to me.

Frame and swingarm newly powdercoated.

I'm still waiting on some engine seals but once I have those I can begin to reassembler.

After weeks of waiting my o-rings and crankcase base gasket kits are here. I can start reassembling the horizontal cylinder. There is an oil passage fitting that goes between the head and the cylinder. One has a small orifice, and the other, a larger orifice. Does anyone know which one faces the cylinder and which faces the head? I will look in the manual but I'm not confident that I will find the answer there.
