I'm looking for a 996 - street legal.
There is a guy that comes to our local euro bike night who is selling an !!! immaculate !!! 996 - seriously it looks like it just came off the showroom floor, everything on it is super-clean and factory-fresh looking, even the engine cases and all the (typically faded) plastic switch gear (and turnsignals...). The miles aren't low but apparently this bike was owned originally and serviced by the owner of the duc shop (so top notch care...) and has been religiously maintained since. Because of this history I'd value this bike higher than a low mile one, and not just because of the hi-risk of the flakey-rocker issues that this one most certainly does not suffer from.

Here's his craigslist ad, and I know he's willing to dicker some:

2000 Ducati 996 Biposto Superbike

PS: Seller is a super-anal engineer of some sort. I've only met him once but he seems like a real good guy.

Good luck
