Race two was pretty good, I was hoping for Fabrizio to get a win, but Haga worked for it!
Hell yes bishes! double for my man Nori!

The way things are going even Leon Haslam has a chance to overtake Spies in the points haha.

That said, am I the only ducatista who thinks Fabrizio is kind of a dildo? Cocky little guy passes dirty sometimes, talks shit, and it might just be me but it looks like he's ready to pull a pedrosa/hayden 2006 edition on Haga whenever they're racing for podium.

Yeah I was wondering if he was going to take out Haga, it really looked like it a few times. I think that would be a sure-fire way to get fired from Ducati though, especially since his results up until just recently haven't been all that stellar.

I thought race 2 was going to be a good battle, but Spies' mechanical DNF pretty much ruined that. The battle between Rea, Haslam, and Biaggi was pretty fun to watch though.

He is just young and full of himself like Xaus was when he was Bayliss' team-mate
He has every right to be cocky:D. Italian on an Italian factory bike and starting to do really well. He's got a shot at winning the championship so he should be racing his teammate. Thats what I like about motorcycle racing, not too many team orders.
Haga now 85 points in the lead and Spies slipped back to 3rd behind Fabrizio
I'm still waiting for Tye to come tell us how it's Ben Spies' own fault the shifter broke...
I do think that fabrizzio is a lil bit cocky and that he shouldnt be trying to take out haga. its his team mate and the fact that he can cause an accident to the point leader at the time doesnt seem like a good idea to me. it was clear how fabrizzio wanted to get the win in the second race doing some really nasty cuts in front of haga, good thing haga knew how to handle them well. Fabrizzio is a very good rider but he just seems desperate to win races since he just won his first race on monza. help your team mate dont try to F$&k him up!

He's under no obligation whatsoever to help his teammate. Sometimes team orders come into play at the end of the season when there is a championship at stake, but it is far too early for that. At this point, Ducati as a team doesn't care which of their riders wins, either way they come out on top.

If there comes a time in one of the very last races of the year when his finishing position will affect whether or not Haga or Spies(or some other rider) takes the championship, then team orders might come into play and he may have to back down. Until then, he is entitled to try to win as many races as possible. Haga won't be able to rest while his teammate lets him win.

It's ben's fault, because yamaha ran out of shift lever's from Ben's prior crashes!!:D:p

The first person you need to beat when racing is your teammate
I think Fabrizio is just giddy to be where he is in the standings, and sure, he is starting to feel a bit sassy. The wave to Spies last week proved that. As stated, wearing the same colors only goes so far at this point in the season...ultimately it is every man for himself. Had Fabrizio been sporting different livery, no one would have questioned him going for it on the last lap of race 2.

They ARE on the same team, though, and I enjoyed seeing them slapping each other on the backs in congratulatory celebration on the victory lap. I found Haga's behavior when seemingly shooing Fabrizio off the post-race interview to be a bit odd, though!

It looked like several bikes ran out of fuel on the cool down lap (including Fabrizio). That's cutting it close!
Fabrizio and Haga must get along very well... After the race, Haga smacked Fabrizio on the head with his golve as the two of them chuckled there way to the podium. Then they proceeded to cover some poor girl in champaign, Haga ran out, grabbed another bottle and kept it going! LOL :D

Holy shit, the Ducati boys were on top of it this weekend. I hope that elevated the team's moral even more! Spies team is still trying to figure out how to screw on shifter levers and keep the fuel cool so they could fit enough in, like everyone else happened to be able to do without issue at Monza. I mean seriously, how poor of a team do you have to be, to have two team related failures in 2 races! Ducati's MotoGP team has done that before, but on a very different level, it was very hard to pinpoint if it was a team issue or just a bad part on the bike.

Anyway, Spies and his team are learning lessons and at this rate, the next mistake Spies makes, no matter how small, will probably be the end of the championship for him. Miller is going to be the tell-all for the rest of the year. If Haga can win at Miller (very doubtful) then in my opinion its all over.

What constantly amazes me is that this little motorcycle manufacturer..Ducati...just beats the "Big Four" like rented mules on a consistant basis! Not only winning but going 1-2 or 1-3 etc....what did that show "Twist of the Throttle" state??? Ducati builds 1 bike to Honda's every 40 thousand!! just stupifying!!!! How do they do it????.
This makes owning a Ducati very satisfying and exciting IMO! If there is two thing's I would like to do in life, go to Normandy, France then the Ducati Museum in Italy. What a trip in deed....Oh and meet Sean Cork of Ducati Performance customer relations...while I'm over there! Great guy!
I hear ya, I love owning my Ducatis over anything else. I think it helps that all they do is build bikes. They don't have a musical instrument department, or make cars, lawnmowers, generators, jet skis. And they aren't into train and ship manufactuing either. The Jananese companies are just too big or their own good.
Yeah, Ducati's breaks because they're small and have a different style of bike don't help them at all either ;)

habla english compadre? lol

I wasn't awake yet :D

Basically in WSB and most racing the Ducs are given an advantage in displacement/weight. Granted they are still enthusiasts through and through, of course fools like all of us on here spending a lot for the bikes helps pay the bills too. But in a lot of cases they have and advantage over the much bigger companies.

Of course they have a displacement advantage, but they aren't necessarily faster in a straight line than the 1000cc bikes like the suzuki or the aprilia. They also have restrictors to limit their power. Not only that, but you can argue that the liter bikes have an unfair cylinder advantage :p
