Having a problem with my '05 999. Its been running great. As of last week I'm noticing its getting difficult to start it.

-Bike is on the stand, I get on, turn the key and try to pop it into neutral but it won't go... I sometimes spend 5 minutes rocking the bike back and forth and for whatever reason, it goes into Neutral and I start it up.

Anyone ever had this problem? My brother in law said his GSXR does the same thing and that you sometimes need to rock it around to get the clutch to move to Neutral.

Not trying to be smart - how about putting the bike into neutral before you shut it off after a ride?

It could be the clutch plates are sticking together so you need to rock it to break them free - most likely if you have an open clutch cover.
