I'm doing a detailed cleaning on the 749R, and now that I stare at the bike mostly in pieces, I started thinking, pulling the motor wouldn't be much further from where the bike sits now. I'd like to re powder-coat the frame and swingarm.

So my question, what bearings would I need to replace if I undertook this operation. Anyone with any gotchas to keep an eye out for?

TIA

I just bought a used 2005 swingarm and had it powder coated. They removed the bearing and put them back in w/o issue. It turned out great, used a semi-gloss coating exactly like the OEM one. You have to remove the bearings when you powder, but they can be re-used. Just FYI.
