As some of you know... I was noticing that my windshield is not straight- a little lower on the left hand side. I put it on the stand this morning and measured- yup... at least 3/4" lower- maybe a tad more. Drives me crazy.

The question is... is the support arm too brittle and it might crack or soft enough to move? Anyone ever successfully straighten one?

What I plan to do is remove the upper fairing and then slide a pipe over the arm and raise it up.

It's made of steel - bends fine.

Yes, its tubular steel and should bend, assuming you have a long enough piece to apply force to it.

Thanks for the 'support'... it worked... scary but fine in the end.

the tube was able to be bent. The hard part was re fitting the mirror. The holes did not want to line up. Had to loosen all the fairing screws and then find a compromise spot so that they were all happy.

Now I can go crazy over something else.
