I just replaced the OEM wind shield on my 06 749S with a Zero Gravity but not sure what to do with the the OEM running light. I thought of attaching it to the instrument panel under the wind shield but was wondering what some of you were doing with it.

Thanks,
Rob

I just unplugged my light and taped up the ends and stuffed them back in the hole. Im not sure if that is what you were looking for but maybe it will help!

I tried a velcro setup on top of the instrument cluster at the hole where the wire for the light exists. It looks pretty cool when the light is on under the smoked wind screen but the adhesive on the velcro didn't hold and the light is loose.
Either I'll remove the light and tuck the wire in as you did or I'll have to come up with a better method of attaching the light.
Unplugged my light, plugged the loose wires and tucked them back into the headlight housing. Looks much cleaner overall.
mine looks like this

The 749/999 sure look way better without the Cessna navigation light on the windscreen. Bike looks great Chris!

I did the same thing.
Anybody use the MRA brand windscreen?
I have an MRA smoked screen. Getting rid of it though, have a DP screen waiting for installation.

I would buy your MRA screen, but my bike is an '04 model and I reckon that they are different from '05-'06???
The "Cessna light" is a legal requirement in the EU - hence why it's there in the first place. Swedish police finest WILL fine you to the tune of 1500SEK/€160 if it's missing or even broken.

I glued mine over the hole in the headlight bucket so it sits underneath the screen. Looks kind of cool actually, in my very personal opinion.
Here in Finland nobody cares if you don't have it. Especially since some screens don't even have the hole for it. "Parking light? What parking light, officer?"

The funny part is that I will be installing the light on my bike next Sunday (arrived today from Germany) since I need to take her to the inspection to have her registered :) After that, it's bye bye MRA and "Cessna light".
I personally dont like it.
I put mine back on, well an OEM smoked version.

It is designed to prevent aliens from landing on your bike, works 100% so far.

Aliens??? Where the heck do you ride? Your bike must be green...LOL.
