Why do we have a Bimota forum and not an MV forum?

Maybe I'm just missing the relationship here but why do we have a forum area for Bimota but not for MV Agusta?

Yummy ! And lots of smiles from those of us who really like a lightweight and simple approach to motorcycles. One of these bikes at ProItalia for a while and the guys that I talked to said that it was THE bike for a spirited ride up Angeles Crest. Gobs of horsepower and a full hundred pounds lighter than a 999R. Can you imagine what fun that would be ?

IIRC, the Millona ONESHOT weighs in at 265 lbs and 100 hp vs. the 999R at 399 lbs and 150 hp, so it is more than 100 lbs lighter! It's the base Millona which weighs in at 297 lbs and 88 hp.
To play devil's advocate a little bit... six degrees of separation...Bimota uses Ducati engines; therefore bimota section...Bimota also uses Suzuki motors; so Suzuki section?
Why do we have all these requests for OTHER make forums??

If I want to know or chat about other bikes I'll go somewhere else. I only come here for Ducati's..

Scott, thanks for keeping this for Ducati

Talk about resurrecting a thread.

Almost one year later....

All the Bimotas I saw at EICMA were Ducati DS powered.

Here is a Japanese Version Special for the Japanese market with 888SP and 400cc engines (same as the Monster 400 and 400SS, bored 350 motors).

Bimota hasn't only used Ducati motors. They have also used Japanese manufactured motors in some of their bikes in the past. One of the books I have at home lists several Bimotas that were considered significant historically. I'll take look tonight.

Actually, most of the Bimotas I've seen have been powered by Japanese motors, but all of the ones at EICMA had DS motors.

No new Bimota Japanese powered for a long time.
There's a rumor about a SB9 or KB"x"......but nothing concrete.
Actually the 06/07 SB8K Gobert and Santa Monica powered by a TLR1000 motor.
Oh and bimota used

Yamaha motors YB
Suzuki motors SB
kawasaki motor KB
Ducati motors DB
Honda motors HB
and BMW motor for their Supermono as BB1

and their own motor for V2 two stroker

Two years ago we had an MV Forum for 9 months, there was less then 10 post in that time, obviously not worth the time and bandwidth. If there comes to be real demand for it I will add one.

If need be, visit MVAgusta.net
