I guess I jumped the gun and I was supposed to introduce myself here! Lol.

Hello! I am new to the Ducati community and looking forward to learning from the forum!
Just picked up a Monster SP over the weekend and I am loving it so far. Took it to GMR on Sunday and was really enjoying the flickability and power delivery on this bike! I can see what the obsession with Monsters is all about now!! I find myself wanting to go into the garage and sneak peaks at the bike ! Lol.

Coming from an Aprilia RSV4 RF and 2004 R1. I have always had liter sport bikes and this is my first naked bike. Getting older now, so the wrists, back and knees can't take the tucked position anymore. But honestly, I should have gotten this bike a long time ago. It has a factor to it that just makes it FUN to ride. I can't really put my finger on it but I can't wait to ride it again! And that is the key right? Lol

Welcome to the jungle. Being a lover of the gen 1/2 air cooled 2v Monsters, it's taken awhile for me to warm up to this new one. But between everyone that owns one loving them, and the looks of them out in the wild, is kind of making me take a liking to them. Good to hear the lineage of simple performance is being upheld. Congrats on the moto. Enjoy!

Hi Jackie!

Yes. I agree, although I do refer the look of the trellis framed monsters, the weight reduction is a definite benefit.

I was originally looking at the V2 streetfighter, supermotard, and the 890 Duke R. I took the Duke for a test ride and loved that bike as well. I was not able to take a Ducati on a test ride so I just bought the Monster based on Emotion lol. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Let's face it the KTM is a great bike but the stickers and overall aesthetics are not my cup of tea. I would rather pay a couple more grand and get the fit and finish of the Ducati any day!!

Thank you !!! Lol yes it's really becoming an addiction. I literally didn't do anything mod wise to my aprilia but I have definitely caught the bug with the monster. I don't know what it is, but I definitely want to bring the full beauty to this bike!!
