Jdale, how do you like them? I'm getting too old for the riding postion on my 750 sport so I thought I'd try to be kinder to my back by raising the bars a significant amount. Do you still have pics? How did you clear the fairing?

I like the kit alot, the LSL kit makes the SS much more comfortable. You will have to tweak the fairing supports a little bit for the bars to clear. I actually left off the angled bases for the risers so I can still lift up my fuel tank with the the bars on. If you leave the agled bases on, you will need to unclamp the bars to lift the tank. The laminar lip works very well especially if you install some spacers between the it and the windscreen. The lip creates a very nice air pocket up to 85 mph, above that you'll have to tuck. Now about the handling, the wider bars really let you snap the bike around which is great for tight backroads. However at higher speeds the bike now gets a little twichy. So you really need to lean forward and stay loose on the bars on high speed sweepers. Some suspension adjustments may help this as well as a steering damper. Here are some pics. -jdale
Yeah, now that's what I'm talkin' about! So the kit comes with angled bases as well as straight? I like way the bike looks without the lower fairing too. Interesting about the high speed stability. I have another bike that is way more twitchy than my ducati on the freeway so I can't imagine it could be any worse. I also notice that you have the forks furthur up on the clamp than stock... is that to help clear the fairing?
The fork tubes are approximately in the stock position relative to the bottom triple clamp. The LSL triple clamp is thinner than the stock one, so it gives the illusion that the fork tubes have been raised. Don't worry, because the LSL triple is machined from billet as oppossed to the stock triple which cast. I believe the LSL triple is at least as strong as the stock triple. I think the high speed twitch is because of increased leverage on the bars which amplifies any rider input. It may also have something to do with the altered weight bias torwards the rear of the bike because of the more upright riding position. Regardless the twitch is not at all bad, I was just comparing it to the bike's stock stability.

There's a strange rattle noise when the clutch is engaged.
In gear or Neutral, makes no difference.
Pulling the clutch lever in, and the rattle pretty much dissappears.
