Hi,

I was having problem with the carb on my Monster 600 -01. So I removed it from my bike, took it appart, cleaned it, put it back on the bike. It fixed the problem and it is running smoothly again. When I was cleaning up the garage I found a metal thing on the ground. I dont know if it fell when I was removing the carb or putting it all back together again. And I am unable to find where it is supposed to fit. I have looked at the parts manual for the bike but I can't locate this piece.

(the ruler is in centimeters, 10cm = 4 inches)

Does anyone know where it is supposed to go and if it is important?
It is driving me mad not being able to figure it out.

Maybe find a parts list and ID the part. I do that often.

it mounts to the frame earth screw through the bottom of the battery box on the lh side, and the big hook end holds one of the choke air supply tubes that goes from the top of the lh carb to the plastic pod on the rh side of the frame.
