Any 848 owners considering doing a rear wheel swap for the wider 1100/1098 wheel?

I'd really love to have a 190 on the rear of my 848.

Is the axle size the same?

848 superbike and 1098/1198 superbike use different rear wheels. 848 uses a smaller rear axle.

SF-1098 uses the large axle of the 1098/1198.

A 190 will work just fine on your stock 5.5" wide wheel.

Ducati used 190s on 5.5 wheels for years on the 916-998 and 999 series.

True, but 996/8 owners like me prefer to run 180 versus 190 especially in modern big contact patch tires. I am guessing same for 5.5" rim on streetfighter - 190 will prak but 180 will perform better as designed

Yeah, I new that it would fit...but just figured performance may suffer a bit.

190/55 pulled onto a 5.5 rim may actually be close to the "shape" of the goofy 180/60 they stuck us with depending on the exact tire model, although likely it would be larger diameter......../shrug
