I just picked up a new MTS and have put a little over 900 miles on her. I really love the bike, windscreen just needs sorted out as well as I would like to go up a tooth or two in the rear.
My question is this, if you had $1000 to spend what would you spend it on? I did get the factory bags so not worried about luggage. Have also managed to get the upgraded seat, so fire away!

fat ducs if it stumbles and bucks at low rpm. Did mine a world of good.

Depends on what kind of bling you like- stuff that makes you look fast, like sliders, or stuff that makes the bike look durable, like radiator guard.
Extra lights?
Heated grips? Kentucky gets cold enough to use them.
It really boils down to what kind of riding do you do?

I'd drop $70 on Aztec spacers right off the bat, they make the screen feel twice as big without dork-ifying the bike too much. Heated grips are from heaven.

Thanks all. I'll have to look into the fat ducs, not sure I need them or not. What I've noticed is a miss I'd you will @ 68 mph in 5 gear, between 3 & 4000 rpm. I do like the idea of more lights as I commute on my duty days. I leave home @ 0600 so in the fall and early spring its pretty dark.

About a third of an exhaust system:)

Stick a Stebel horn on it , a horn that can be used and heard..
Do the headlight upgrade so you have 4 lights on when on high beam.

Wiring up the headlights so that low and high beams are on at the same time.
Where can one find the info on the mod? Also will it negate warranty?
