Hey guys. Long story short, I bought a salvaged 01 ST4 with only a bill of sale and now I need to find a way to title it.

As this is going to be a streetfighter project I already expected to perform some frame work, so my first thought was to buy another frame/title and modify it to fit.

Am I doing this the hard way? If not, which frames are compatible with my 01 ST4 powerplant?

Thanks in advance!

Frames that derived from the 851/888 bikes, bikes that ran their swingarm only through the engine cases. Superbikes from the 916 onward used the new frame design that had the swingarm attaching through the frame.

VA DUC,..... I'm not sure about the ST3 frame, did the DS1000 cases used in it line up with 916/996 cases as far as mounting points ?

I can only comment on looks alone. The swingarms, wheels are the same?

st2 has a different cross member in front of the vertical cylinder.

st3, 4, 4s straight in. monster s4, s4r, (maybe s4rs) straight in.

851, 888 straight in, altho they have a diferent ecu configuration.

all swingarm bearing in engine motors are the same except cagiva elephant and gc i believe.

Wow.. An 888 with an ST4 engine... That'd be a beast. Good luck!

That's old news. Marvin pulled the ST4 engine out and stuck an S4RS Testastretta engine in his 851.
