I'll Start:

I installed T-Rex front & rear axles and frame sliders I got off Ebay all for $122. Overall I am very happy with the quality, hopefully I'll never report how well they actually work.

The horrendous Swiss carnival has started, so I moved my bikes (I have an open garage) to my old man’s house…
This is normally the only time of the year when people over here forget to act civilized, and there is high risk of vandalism.

Good to know! I was aware of the 1st of May, but I did know about the carnival risks. Better to stay home today ;)
jratbut those pics are hard to look at man. Glad you are relatively OK. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks, starting to heal up. I’ll be back
Took a run through the Virginia countryside. This is a little way outside Luray VA. Beautiful day and some great roads taken to task.

It really depends where you’re based… I live in the old town of a village that really goes hard on the Carnival, and my house is right at the end of the parade.

The weather was amazing this weekend, I was pissed I did not have the bikes at home to go for a ride.

Looks like the perfect winters day ride. Do you live nearby? I am in Escalante.

That bike is a beauty, I am an air cooled guy and admit I don’t know a lot about the new bikes but several of the newer Mult’s I have seen have what I consider over the top graphics. Your bikes paint makes total sense to me, simple in a way that enhances that killer Italian style.
Did you ride to Utah or trailer your bike on your last visit? I am considering a trailer to expand my riding horizons without the tedious and exhausting miles in-between.

Thank you very much . I have never ridden to Utah . I do plan to some time in the future..
Went for a decent ride on my new, (to me), 2013 1200S.
From Adelaide down to Murray Bridge on the Freeway and then up to the river lands, Loxton, across to Waikerie and then looping back down to Swan Reach to get the ferry back to the West side of the river and home via Sedan, Birdwood, the Onkaparinga Valley Road and finally the Freeway back into town. All up it was 525kms door to door.
The Duc performed perfectly and didn't miss a beat. First Multi I've owned after a lot of GS and GSA's and on bitumen equally as much fun to ride and just as capable at gobbling up the miles. This was a stop on the 'silo art trail' as it's known, a small settlement called Karoonda that probably wouldn't exist except for being on the rail line.

Fitted a Evotech screen level satnav mount so I could move my Zumo XT from it bar clamp mount up nearer to eye level. I got it 2nd hand with a quadlock mount , the latter I fitted to the bar clamp mount. I also fitted a stock V4 front mudguard in place of the original carbon! Why ? IMO the painted stocker looks better than the very plain looking matt carbon , though I may have been less inclined to swap if they had made the carbon weave more visible & used a gloss finish (tart?). Next is getting my spare set of wheels powder coated, just need to decide on a colour.

Been working on my "low oil pressure light at idle when warm" issue. (2006 MS 620). New pressure switch didn't help. Tried 15W-50 synthetic. Helped quite a bit, but still have the light at idle. Light now extinguishes at 1700 rpm instead of 2500. Engine is fairly quiet, but still wish that light would stay out.

I did a couple of jobs yesterday. I'd been waiting on a couple of things that finally arrived, so I was able to proceed. One, I installed a pair of FAR LED mirrors on my '04 1000DS. The part I needed was a left side clutch handlebar top bracket to use on the right side because of the standard thread pattern on the aftermarket mirrors. Thus, both of my mirrors are now 'standard' thread mounting, instead of the right side being a left hand thread.
Two, my Pitbull rear wheel lift arrived and I was able to lift the bike and adjust the chain. It's tighter than it was, although seemingly 'loose' to me. Today I bought a metric ruler so I can go back and measure the play in the chain now on the side stand, for proper range of slack.

Nice! I just looked it up on Amazon. It's now on my Wishlist.
Visited three states on a nice riverside run along the banks of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers around Harper's Ferry. Beautiful day for a ride.
