New neighbor! She's already got tangled up with our next door neighbor of twelve years. Both women are alone (next door was recently widowed) and in their late sixties/early seventies. So our nice little (very disabled btw) next door neighbor .. I'll call her "Banjos mom" .. goes out on her own front yard to do a little picking up since we've had some wind lately. New One sees that Banjos mom isn't wearing a friggin mask ... and calls 911. No shit.

Man, I'm really feelin' it for LEOs these days, the whole "blame 'the police' for the actions of one" is bad enough, throw in piles of petty issues between members of the public due to the stress of the lockdowns those folks are expected to solve and I'd imagine spending your shift putting out fires between cranky old women has GOT to get old.

Movin' on .. we all live in a very quiet cul-de-sac, I can count all the cars that come down this street in two days on one hand. The homes are all at least fifty feet apart (center to center). There was precisely zero chance that Teh Covids was going to float around on a 115f degree day and infect anyone that's over 150 feet away by tending to one's own yard for a few minutes (that's about how far apart the two women live from each other).

Popo shows up, New Neighbor speaks with him for a few minutes, then speaks with Banjos mom .. all is quiet, he leaves after "advising" the two women.

Next day, Sheriff's deputy shows up at Banjos mom's place, serves her with a FEKKING RESTRAINING ORDER that the New Neighbor convinced some local judge to sign. Days go by, more drama ensues ... none of which involves me or my family in any way, we're just spectators for the moment. Bicker bicker bicker ... got to where Banjos mom wanted to buy balloons and signs and shit with nasty little things on them about the New Neighbor. Sure, that'll help ... go for it.

... yeesh! ...

What used to be a really laid back neighborhood is now tightly wound and tense. Banjos mom has actually moved out over the whole environment facing us.

So what? .. right? Ugh ... can't wait to see what fresh hell awaits once my bike is running. That new old gal sits out on her driveway in a lawnchair in the middle of the day in this ~heat~ seemingly waiting to see/hear something to be outraged about. Can't wait to see what goes down when I get my music studio back on-line and I'm playing again. All of our neighbors over the past twenty eight-odd years have either tolerated or enjoyed hearing the racket emanating from our home .... sometimes later in the evening (that's musician-speak for 2am). Me ... with my loud motorcycle and that damned guitar (organ, synths, bass, et al) banging away ... damned hippie!

Go 'way, witch! Take your black mojo with ya! SHOO!

(just venting ... no need to reply, what can be said anyhow?)

Picture from last fall when I was working on the bike on the porch. The house across the street with the green bushes ... that's New Neighbor. Banjos mom lives in the house next to ours (she's moving in a few days though), on the left side of this picture ... that's how far apart them two wammins are and how far away Banjos mom was from the new one when she was caught not wearing a mask outside. What a cozy little fun time!

Meh ... no real reason to post this I guess .... whatever.

I would do my best to just tune that shit out.
Maybe it's not bad that most of the neighbors here don't say anything.

A few years ago a raft of cops showed up across the street, and were telling some one over their bullhorn to
COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!

That got my attention, LOL.
That and the green rifle one of them had. Less lethal I suppose.

Wait, your gona buy a dog to shit on Rocks yard but, not the new witches? Start at home first, train him well and then, set him loose as the mad crapper. I'll need to borrow him when fully trained................

I could tell a story about a "friend" in highschool but, thats a bonfire story/show.............

I have a pair of mad crappers already - they don't share, and at 90lbs each usually get their way

Read the thread and am left wondering why it is that you live someplace where it hits 115 and you have a little chiminia (sp) fireplace. Does it really get cold enough to use it? As for the new neighbor it's common knowledge that all old bitchy women need a good porkin' once in a while so why don't you go over there to, you know, settle her down a bit and make the whole 'hood a happier place to live? It's also know as "taking one for the team." Oh, and take pics and post a ride report here. :sneaky:

So when it gets down to 60F at night during the winter we in Arizona think it feels cold. And, yes, it actually might get down to freezing two or three nights a year, but those little fires are not for that kind of night.

Living in an alpine climate I'm most familiar with temps dropping at night and the cozyness of an outdoor fire.
Here's my back yard fireplace.

;)Okay, now let's get back to the central question....you know.....curing a certain old lady's bitchiness?

So, maybe Sexy Rexy needs something to help stoke his fire to be able to take care of the old witch. I say we send him some porn and a few blue pills............

I thought the rule was typically: "You need to wear a mask when social distancing can't be reasonably maintained". I'm not about to wear a mask in my front yard when I'm alone.

I think you already mentioned the cure. Time for a housewarming visit. Ask her to join your band. Every band needs a chick on the tambourine and maracas.
