Well, that was a mistake

Went out and test rode a multistrada and now have to figure out where to put a 3rd bike in the garage. I was suprised how effortless it was to handle. Was a little concerned about the seat height, but even on my toes it wasn't a problem due to how light it was. The reviews are generally correct in terms of handling, performance and comfort.

Now, the big decision, what color.

Yup....like handing out free crack samples. They know one hit and you're hooked. :D

Congrats on the upcoming addition to the stable.

Yes, congrats on your choice...what made you choose the MTS12 and not some other bike?
Red.
Black if you keep it immaculate, otherwise red.
If they had it in Ti when I was getting mine it would have been it. The white though is the pimp.
MTS Buy

Nothing sweeter then the Pikes Peak for looks IMHO.:D
Leaning towards Ti. @Oal, in sport mode, it's close to my streetfighter in power, but with the comfort and storage of a tourer. Plus, there are lots of fire roads I would like to drive on.
Yep, I had the same problem when I test rode one last year.
I grabbed white and have been smiling ever since. White is easy to care for, if detailing is not your thing.
Yeah a test ride did me in too. I was happy on my v-strom until the test ride ruined it.
I have the lower seat on mine as I am only 5 foot 5. the only thing I would say is by the comfort seat as well as if you go on long rides you need the extra comfort.

I have had a 1098 and then an 1198. My MTS1200 is the easiest bike I have ever ridden. I often go for rides that are 500km in a day and I come home relaxed and easy.
Ti one is a real head turner (yeah mostly the female heads :D )
+1, a test ride did me in too.

There should be some type of warning given before allowing test rides.

WARNING: Test rides ARE dangerous to your bank account.
Exact same thing happened to me. Stopped by my local dealer with my 1098SF to hang out and left with a MS PP.

Same..... Sort of.

Rode it and told the guys it was the best bike by far I'd ever ridden. Living in two countries I have 2 of everything and it gets really expensive. Tried to be conservative and settle for tiger800.

A few weeks later I converted. Love the light feel, the power and overall engineering (provided I don't think about the back brake and the screen is whole different story)
I went to dealer to buy an oil filter for my ST2, saw the new Multi 1200 for the first time....WTF is that?! Just had to ride it!
Man, that was one expensive filter.....

I rode one on a demo day. Loved it, got one for 2 days when I brought my SF848 for service, now it's not a question if I buy a MTS1200 but when will I buy a MTS1200. Tested all the modes, amazing...

I came across some you tube videos, then did some reading, then I saw this and game over.

Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak - Ducati

There is no bad color on a Multi. I am not ready yet to give up my 1198 so I have these two to keep care of and enjoy both of them exponentially. The Multi is versatile and will fit in with any riding group of your friends, even Hardleys. With all the roads we are blessed with in Oregon you will love this bike!
