Probably not truly vintage, but nice. How does it go?

More useable than a green frame, to be sure.
In it's day (and I bought one new in '75) there wasn't a Twin as smooth as the 750SS. It made a great race bike back then. The Laguna feels small, especially with the 16" wheels. When it comes on the lumpy cams, it moves well. Of course, they can't be compared to a water cooled, eight valve twin for performance but at the same time, they don't feel so generic.

Not sure I'd call Ohlins "Era appropriate" ...........

Marzocchi piggy-backs would be era appropriate -

if youre going with those shocks there then maybe a nice set of USD forks are in order! LOL

:grin2: Well, maybe not era appropriate (ie shit) but this model line was made in particular for the 78 thru 84 bevel drive Dukes by Ohlins and I'll take sweet Swedish quality over the busted pogo sticks that came from 1982.
