I had it on my '01. There are additional brackets that attach to the rear frame, under the seat. Seems like I had to take the rear plastic off to mount them. It is a very good system and real sturdy once mounted to the bike.

Ventura Luggage
Does anyone have the Ventura Luggage system for their '92-'98 SS? http://www.cycleventure.com/fitments/display.asp?manufacturer_id=5 I'm thinking about getting this system but am curious how the "L" brackets attach to the frame. I know the front end mounts to the footpeg/pipe hanger mount, but what does the back end mount to? I've got a full fender elimination kit on my bike, so all the heavy factory plastic underseat stuff is gone. Is this what the bracket mounts to?
