Well after 2 fast and furious days of poking around and surveying the pipes, I've come to the conclusion that it can't be done. I'm not one to give up easily but this design has me stumped. 1st - the cans are double wall construction, that's why the outside never gets very hot, and the paint stays fresh looking. 2nd- I'm sure that I will have to cut BOTH ends to get some of the baffles out. 3rd- all of that effort seems like it won't be fruitful or wise if I ever plan to keep the cans looking anything like the stock appearance. They will get mangled in the process of doing this.
I guess our pals in Bologna knew that anyone with performance, and sound on their mind wouldn't mind forking over a kilobuck or two for that elusive roar. It certainly has me bummed, I would rather spend $3000 on a supercharger for my car to boost it up to 500+ HP than spend almost $2000 for a 2 into 1 Termi that might get me 8HP. This is ridiculous. I hope the aftermarket guys put their production facilities in high gear for the Sportclassic line, I think Ducati/Termi has way to much greed going on.
