At about 1500 miles, my 2009 1100S is becoming difficult to shift into neutral when stopped with the motor running. If I am moving, I can get neutral, if I turn off the engine and carefully work the lever, I can get neutral, but not if the motor is running and I am stopped.
Anyone had this problem? Ideas?
Thanks so much!

1.) Could be the clutch. How much pre-travel when you release the clutch lever? If it travels only a few mm then the clutch is not disengaging completely. Take it back to the dealer.

2.) The chain may be too tight and not allow the drive line to unload. Noob solution - rock the bike back and fouth while searching for neutral. Fix - slack the chain.

3.) Shift lever or linkage is interfering - readjust the linkage.
