Anyone have any experience and/or opinion on a pre-V4 Streetfighter as a dedicated trackbike? Would be almost exclusively on shorter, slower tracks like Barber and Talladega GP. I am in the A group and have a CBR1000RR Superstock racebike now and, even with much shortened gearing, I never get out of 3rd gear at those tracks. Also, want something a with a bit bit less racey riding position.

I can share that my Aprilia RS660 is awesome on small tracks. Not sure if you are specifically looking for a Ducati. In comparison to my 1199S TriColore, I am enjoying the RS660 much more on smaller tracks. It can brake excessively late, the tech package is second to none and with it being so light, you can really flick it on the S's. Just my $0.02.
