Aren't there negative effects from wrapping your pipes? Though some issues arise when doing that.
Not that i'm aware of. I've heard that keeping the pipes hotter is supposed to increase the scavenging effect of the exhaust and thus increase hp (like probably 1/4 hp on a good day). I mainly did it to reduce the heat on my legs. Also, my pipes were rusting and looking like crap.

Sorry for the ultra late reply - i wasnt notified that there were additional posts.
I only removed the tail fairing, right side fairing, heel guard and side pipe guard. With a little patience, it wasnt too bad. Takes more wrap than you think though. 15 ft. was not enough. You'll need at least 20 ft.
