When I replaced my aging cruiser with an ST3 I decided to keep the old girl for those times when I just want a sedate, relaxing ride - and for short errands. It's a whole different mode. Diversity is nice.

It's interesting how ones perception can change over time. I have been considering an RT for a few years. While owning my Harley I test drove an
RT and it felt lively, rev happy and quick. While owning my current ST3 I test rode another 1150 RT and it felt wheezy and slow. If you and your SO are happy with the RT I dont belive she will tolerate the ST. Its hard to go toward less comfort unless you both want to pick up the pace. If you can swing it, purchase a used ST and keep the RT at least untill you can decide which one to sell. But you have been warned, once you experiece a desmo the boxer will feel like a tractor!
