Why are you changing to a slipper? I mean I know why they are a good thing to have at the track, but why would you switch? I had a slipper on my race bike, and they are nice. But for the street..... Sorry I'm not trying to flame you. I am just wondering why?

Also on the clutch plates the only reason I would change would be if yours aren't in the best shape.

I've had my rear tire skid...down shift to hard (high rpm)...

My be its just me, but I find this happening to me more on canyon riding...

few times on the street...for $600 I think it would be a great mod + safety...

no ?

Yeah if your going to be riding in the canyons, it's a good idea. And $600 is cheap issurance so the rear doesn't hope and come out from under you. Goodluck with the mod and get some pics.

Wet slip

I have the yoyodyne wet slipper ($850 + install). I used my stock pressure plates. I like it alot and think it would be a good mod. for a canyon rider.

Re: the 5th/6th gear change question -- I do not think you can change gearing without replacing the entire transmission shaft. You could change the chain sprockets (1+ front?) to get more top end.
