If you change your oil every 500 - 1000 miles and don't race, you can run the cheapest oil Walmart sells and never know the difference.

Honda recommends 7500 miles on the 6 cyl Goldwings if you're using their regular oil or their synthetic blend. And those engines are good for 200,000 miles without trying hard.

We used to have owners come in and ask if we thought changing the oil in their 'Wing at 3000 miles was good enough. Should they do it at 2000? We would flat out tell them, you're wasting your money if you do, but we'll gladly do it if you really want to.
