I came out from work today and prepared for the ride home as usual. I put my backpack on the ground, placed my helmet on top, put the key in to unlock the steering, put my left hand on the left handlebar, and reach down to pull the shift lever up to put it into neutral so I can start it. Just as I'm standing up the kickstand bracket gives out and the kickstand folds forward. I caught it just before it hit the ground and stood it back up. The damage? A small crack in front of the kickstand hole in my sharkskinz left side panel, and of course the kickstand bracket. The bracket had broken previously and was welded by the previous owner. I think this one will work for the 748, but I still need to pull mine to have a closer look.

Darn it. I don't think that's it. I tried looking up the part number at Ducati Omaha, but they only go back to 2000 and it's a different part number than what Gotham Cycles have.

Does anyone know the part number, a source for the bracket, anything? I'm at a loss. These are $150 new from the dealer.

As I understand it Ducati of Omaha has lots of older stuff, they just don't have online parts look up. Give them a call.

Yep, and my sister lives 5 blocks away from there. Unfortunately they didn't have one in stock. Two weeks before they could get one in to ship.

Still looking for a used one. I wish I knew what other bikes this was used on so I could cross reference on EBay.

I emailed Mike and he doesn't have one. I've got my eye on one from the UK, but I'm waiting for the guy to send better pics.
