Howdy folks 🤠

Just wanted to introduce myself, name’s Mani.

Have wanted a Ducati for years, but grew out of the superbike style of bikes a while back.. and picked up the supermoto habit instead (I do have some Harleys, but of the Dyna/FXR flavor)

So, after a DRZ and a KTM690.. finally moved onto a Hypermotard 939 SP.

And wow, this thing is fun… so 🦆 here we are

Hi Mani and welcome to the site, great to have you here. Where are you from, looks like somewhere in Europe...

Awesome bike. The 939sp is the best kept secret in the Ducati line up I think. Enjoy that bike.

I bet that megaphone exhaust booms. Do you ride with ear plugs?

Actually grew up near Sac and now live in west Texas ( was away in Europe few weeks ago though).

Funny you say that; at first I thought that I would get over this bike pretty quick and move on, but after lots of thought and some miles, she's definitely a keeper!

Actually not very boomy of an exhaust. I think SC project did a pretty decent job with the baffling.

This was one of the few pipes out there that could be bought with a link pipe and I got pretty decent deal so it was the right way to go for me; definitely woke up the bike!

And no, no ear plugs, it's not that loud or annoying sounding.. However, on longer rides I usually wear airpods with noisr canceling.

Did you dyno tune it or still running stock tune? I am looking at your setup or the low mount carbon can SC offers. I know another guy who changed out his sc cr-t for being too loud! .

The CR-t is a full system with bigger headers and a small muffler, so maybe that's why it may have been too loud.
But SC project does have a db killer for most of their mufflers so that's always a solution (the pic you posted shows a db killer insert on that pipe).

For tuning, I'm running a UpMap T800+ for now the Arrow exhaust with airbox tune (only BMC filter for now) and O2 sensors disconnected.

Runs perfect!

However, I had a little hiccup when first flashed, there was some hesitation at 3-6k rpm, but I had flashed with a low battery.
Reflashed with a fully charged battery and a charger plugged in and now it's smooth throughout the whole rpm range.
