Since it is now well passed 10 days this tag has well and truly gone stale. It is a shame is was not done in northern summer, the subject was interesting, I hoped to see what sort of projects WPA created. In Aus we did not have a similar scheme but some individual projects, Sydney Harbour Bridge was one. But I'm not riding into the city, it bad enough in a car.
A 'nest' as big as your bike, this is an ant nest. Could be any animal, bird, spider or insect, except humans, plenty of them with oversize nests.
Damn. Glad I don't live anywhere near one of those things. The only "nest" I can think of as large as a bike is a beaver lodge, which I already tagged last year. Besides, no riding around here for a while. 11°F/-12°C right now.
Interesting tag. Seems typical for Australia! We’ve got osprey nests around here that are quite large, but I don’t know how I’m going to get my bike 80’ in the air for a picture. I’ll be thinking about this tag to see what I can come up with.
