Well......I'm sure everyone on this forum has been asked..."What's wrong with your bike?"....or...."Is it supposed to sound like that?" Most people don't know what a Ducati clutch sounds like.Today I was sitting on my bike in traffic downtown and this guy on the sidewalk said "Nice bike!....Does it run on diesel????" He was serious! :think: He had no idea that sound he was hearing was the open clutch. I thought that was pretty funny.

Between Harley pipes and Duc clutches no wonder bikers get a bad rap! My ST has stock pipes and the new clutch - it is kind of nice going down a suburban street and have people smile and wave. Yeah right. Termi's and dry clutch on their way.

My favorite are the "knowing" looks from people after the explaination that everything is fine, you know the ones - the smirk with the slight head shake as they tell their buddy that there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with it.

I refer to my open clutch as a "cement mixer", but the sound on mine is usually drowned by the Zard exhaust anyway
