Termignoni 2 into 1 - Problem - help needed

1356 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  1sicmofo
So I have a 2009 Hyper 1100s with the Termignoni 2 into 1 full system.
My bike has done 18,500 miles and yesterday whilst coming home on the motorway the end tip (which i believe is Titanium) decided to leave my bike for good.
Is it possible to just buy this end tip as a replacement or do i have to buy a complete can from a local stealer?
Any suggestions would be helpful as things are really hard at the moment

many thanks

You should easily be able to find an end cap from someone (this end cap is used on thousands of termi pipes) - don't go for a muffler as you'll pay a lot more.

What's weird is that the end cap is usually riveted *and* silicone glued into place! How could that have come loose?

Also note that since the end cap is off and you'll have to get it repaired, being at 18k you might want to look into re-packing it.
I would start by contacting Termignoni.

1) the rivets have cut through the carbon
2) repacking is a must as I have lost that too

Termi authorised importer in UK not interested in helping, I did ask nicely, only wants to sell me new end can at £480.00. Ducati not interested also only want to sell me new end can upwards of £550.00. Every dealer I speak to says its not possible

Damn that sucks, yeah I don't believe they sell that piece alone, much less the packing. The only alternatives I see is finding a used pipe (or new) and replacing it. If the rivets tore through the carbon fiber, I don't see how a new cap would go on without falling off again, unless you know how to fix carbon fiber.

poor customer service. have you tried contacting Termi in the US? I think the Americans might be better at CS.
