Termi Baffles

I never thought this was a problem but here we are. I took my bike to work this morning at 6am. I woke up my family and the neighbours with my Termi on my 2007 Biposto. I'm the second owner of the bike and there is no way I can get the original mufflers or baffles. I need to be a lot quieter or my wife will leave me knowing I won't get rid of the bike.

For my marriage and neighbours' sanity, does anyone have baffles to sell, or know where I can get some?

Also how quiet will this make the bike?

a video clip with and without db killers:

Dayum ... without the ~whatevers~ stuffed in the cans that thing reminds me of how the vertical 750cc twins sounded from the stands at Ascot Park when they were lined up at the starting line ... old Triumphs, Yamahas, and "Snortin' Nortons". I miss Ascot. It's a parking lot now. :(

You have two ways to go:
1) Replace with original Termi parts: Search ebay for a likely replacement baffles, OR get hold of JC at Sport Classic Specialties. He's a vendor on this forum and may just have what you need.

2) Build your own. Check out this thread for lots of baffle info: https://www.ducati.ms/forums/77-sport-classic/103446-inside-termignoni-surgery.html#post1004519
They're pretty simple devices, I'm sure you've got a local fabricator who could make them if you can get some measurements.

Good luck.

You have another option...

Contact Desmoworld for their Db Eaters . I have them in my Termis and really like them! Definitely quieter than uncorked (naturally), and not as quiet as the baffles that came with the Termis (which I think gave a "pffft pffft" kind of sound). I think they are a really good sounding compromise.
I had thought for a bit about having something built, but for the price from DesmoWorld (for my GT1000 cans, looks like they are now about $34.00 USD each), plus the shipping from Germany.. it wasn't worth it.
Their customer service/ responsiveness was great! Just double check with them to make sure you are ordering the correct Db Eaters. Also, their shipping to the US was very reasonable and quick!

Yikes. Sorry you're not hearing back from them. It was a couple years back when I dealt with them, but they were very responsive at the time. Hopefully they'll be in touch soon.

Don't quote me, but I believe these were the units I purchased for the Termis on my GT1000. You'll want them to confirm you are purchasing the right units (if you ever hear back from them..!). Keep us posted.

P.S. I just looked through some old emails to them and I was corresponding with "Tina", using the info@desmoworld.com address. Also, looks like it WAS the "db eater 13s" that I had purchased.

Same problem here, I need a pair of baffles desperately. I’ve already contacted Desmoworld, but they don’t seem answer. Any clue of which of the baffles is the one for the termis. My bike is a GT1000.

You were right, finally they answered me, and after measuring the inner diameter of the Termis, they recommended me the 13s. The thing is that I’ve just bought a set of homologated Termis, and I want to compare them with the Racing version before buying the baffles. They might be here in a couple of weeks. : )

Oh cool ! Glad you heard back from them. Keep us posted- Curious what you end up with!
It’s been a while, but today I finally managed to mount the baffles. In the meantime I bought a pair of homologated Termi exhausts. The baffles make a huge difference, but you don’t miss the torque at low revs. I supose that my neightbours would be happier.

If anyone needs some I have a pair of baffles for black termi "Race only" biposto set. Never been installed in over 12 years, and never will be. shoot me a DM. Sorry to be late to chime in... I'm rarely on here anymore.
