Really, I'm not trying to stir things up. Rob responded to a post of mine on Ducati.net saying that Terblanche had alluded to his designs being compromised (my word) by Ducati. I just want to read the articles. I don't know, but I'm betting that Ducati wouldn't get too heavy handed with their critique of a Tamburini design. And, if Terblanche feels stongly enough to raise the issue publicly it must be significant. I'd love to know what he thinks an untampered 999 design should be. Wouldn't it be interesting if all of "our" dissatisfaction with Terblanche's designs has been misplaced?

I recall see in Cycleworld around the time the 999 was introduced a PT interview that Ducati management (in a cost cutting effort?) "compromised" some of PT design ideas. It's be foolish to think if you're a designer that you would get everything you want, and you should plan on contingencies.

Some would argue that PT "compromised" Ducati and not the other way around

Can you please name to me a Moderator that DOES own a Terblanche bike, or better yet, one that has a 749/999?

migz123 look at my signature (two PT bikes, yes a 749S even), and I'm a moderator on the Multistrada forum. Not being critical, I to get tired at times of all the noise, in the end to each his own. To me the 916 is a classic beauty, but it's so 5 minutes ago, same for the MV...just kidding boys and girls, lighten up.

Where is Vito and the Multistrada is ugly thread....LOL!
