Hi everybody!

I'm getting my '98 916 ready for track season and doing a full service.

Prepping for the valve check, I was thinking the remove the fuel injectors and have them professionally cleaned. This is where the fun started:

1) hold down screw stripped and I had to drill it out. Annoying yes, but I dealed with worse. Now on my way to weld up the hole and prep for a new thread. Since the fuel lines will be in the way, I was thinking to replace them also.

How the heck do you remove the plastic ellbow?

Do you have to push out the pin? Any secret easy way out or just a thin pin and hammer?

2) after I pushed out the fuel injectors, I realized that they have different part ID on it - 1950700 and 2957400
Of course I didn't mark the front or rear injector.

Does it really mather?

I checked my spare 996 throttle body and all four injectors are the same (2957400).

Also, if you look at the notch, where the "fuel screen" is located, you will see that the holes have different locations!

Thanks in advance for the clarification. :beers:
