Hi,

I know that the hyper 796 is 20mm lower than the 1100.. and I know the seat has a different shape.. but I would like to know if that height difference is in the seat..

when I read the specs for the DP race seat, it says it's the same height as oem for 1100.. but doenst mention the 796 ...

so I would like to find out If the DP race seat is any taller than the 796 stock seat..? anyone knows?

Looking at Your photo it does apear that the dp seat has a shallower curve comparing to the stock.. Might be from the Camera angle tho..

So assuming it's really taller, the 20mm difference from stock 796 and 1100 is the seat only?

Thanks mate, really appreciate the help... I'll definitely buy a new seat to improve the height for me.

Did you find out if there any seats that are actually higher, I seem to be getting conflicting answers.

My buddy has and 1100 sp and he got more height from a Corbin seat. I would say 25mm + from stock. I couldn't even touch the ground at all with the Corbin seat on his bike where with the stock I could touch with only my tippy toes. Also the Corbin seat has a much wider profile that moves your thighs to a more parallel position to the ground.

I tried all the bikes, the 1100 suspension I believe is taller than the 796. I had the opposite problem, I needed to lower the seat.

After riding the 796 it is much lower but I think the seat is the same.

The 1100SP is about a inch or so, just enough to make it too much of a pain to be worthwhile for me.

I think you can get a adjustable linkage rod for the rear shock + lower the forks to raise the front the same amount.

Or go to a local upholsterer and have them add a half inch of foundation to the seat.
