I´m not gonna talk you out of one.. Slippers are great for "slow" revving machines like the 916 or 996..
But if i was to spend my money, I´d go for mag-wheels first. If you already have them, then a slipper is a logical step.
Moving the clutch from a 916 to a 996 isn´t a problem either.
You could actually go for a 748R slipper clutch.. It probably costs less, but then it isn´t really as good as surflex either. Just something to think about.
Some of my friends have both STM and JTR slippers and they seem to work okey.
