Has anyone done this conversion?
I am in the middle of it now.
The computer sits in the center of the biposto subframe down low.
On the mono subframe it sits to the rear and up high.
The wiring is of insufficient length to reach the computer in its new
rear and up high position. I have begun to loosen up the wiring in
hopes of getting some extra slack so that I can reach the new position.
It is turning into a nightmare. The wiring is routed in and out of the frame.
It is sheathed in black vinyl. It is extremely difficult to maniupulate.

The question is after doing all this work will it still be to short to reach?
Am I going to have to get the wiring for a mono tail?

Been there, done that.

The biposto wiring harness isn't long enough to reach the ECU on the mono subframe as it's originally installed. You can, however, reroute the wiring harness to *mostly* fit, but you'll need to make a few wires longer.

It's not that big of a deal to remove the wiring harness, so do that, hook it up to the ECU and route it towards the front. You'll have to lengthen a couple wires, but that's pretty easy.

Or you could do what I did....and find a used mono wiring harness.

YES (that is exactly what I have done)... you can put a mono tail on a biposto subframe.
Then if you must ride 2 up you can swap it back to biposto in about 3 minutes. :D

Attached are pictures of my Biposto stock and my Biposto with the Mono Tail (still same biposto subframe)

In the picture with the Mono tail you can see the passenger peg mount of the biposto subframe.

Anyone have one out there?
I'll ask in the classified section also.
Thanks.

I've got a ziplock baggie with all the hardware you need to do this except on nut if you are interested.

It is pretty easy to do this conversion.

Yes I have done this, everything fits fine but you'll need a new latch mounting plate with the offset to bring the latch lower down, or you can modify your Bip plate to fit.

I got the mono seat complete with lights etc so that I can swap it over in a couple of minutes.

To me this is the best option as I can still use the Biposto seat if needed and the extra weight saving of the Mono subframe is not really an issue for non-racers (I would do better by eating less!) :D
