I found this...one owner, all service done, 18k miles... didn't run for a year... what is realistic to pay for it?
That is entirely subject to your geographic location. I've seen 750s go for anywhere between $1600 and $2800 here in California. That's for a bike in good cosmetic shape. That range varies from location to location though.

I mean, there's probably more Ducatis in the Bay Area alone than there are in some 3 other states combined so prices here weigh in a bit differently to someplace where it is much more rare to see one.

Factor in availability of service records and the price could increase. Cosmetic condition is not the same as mechanical condition so that could be a factor also. You don't know what was done mechanically without the records so a lack of substantial documentation could be leverage to lower the asking price.

From my own experience, lack of documentation is not necessarily a deal breaker but know that if there isn't any, and the asking price is low, you'll end up paying more than the asking price to get the bike right......sean

Thank you for the replies.
It was put in storage a year ago, that was the last time it ran. All records from new are available, always done by Ducati dealer. Breaks, timing belt, tires and fork seals done before storage. Except for the sprockets the bike is 100% stock. It will be $1800

Wow, that’s a buy-it-now! Good find!

At that price I would not question much unless you think it is stolen or the motor is blown, even then a 900 drops in easy enough to make it tempting.

I was going to ask WHY you want it, at that price buying to flip it is a option. Keep it as oem as possible as it looks to be all stock from the one photo, carby 750 are much more rare around here than 900's and for many riders the power difference means nothing.

Glad it is near you and not me because I do not need to own another supersport right now (wife just asked how many bikes do you own?) but at that price I would be adding it to the list before she makes me make one.

If shopping keep in mind.
750 never had stud problems
750 never had cracking frames in US
750 never had crank plug issues
750 made pretty much the same power as Ducati F1's and no one called them slow.
750 could have aluminum swingarm cracking issues like early 900sp and 900ss
750 came with ducati electronica rectifier that did some times fail.

What did you say the owners contact info was?:wink2:

$1,800 is a smokin' deal. For some context, a few months ago I paid $4,000 for a '96 900CR w/17k miles that needed carbs rebuilt and new belts but came with excellent records. The paint and bodywork is in "A" condition as well as fairly new tires, new chain/sprockets, all new brake pads. So I have to agree with everyone that said $1,800 is a "DO THIS RIGHT NOW!" price. Jump on it with both feet!

Come on Frank! Whaddya doin' to me? That bike is a steal and is only about a 3 hour drive away from me. I don't need another bike either and my wife will kill me if another Duc follows me home. You're a bad man! Go buy it yourself. It's only three hours away from Cincinnati too ya know.

Holy crap, I come home from a tour of the frozen North (MN and WI), and I find this hanging there...just 3 1/2 hours from me!

I can't go get this, my wife is still miffed about the 900 SS I brought home a few months ago.

I was supposed to be working on the F1, but I'll go to the races at Barber and try to forget both of them...
