For $20 +shipping, why not give them a try (without permanently mounting the array)?

From the looks of them though, you might have to lengthen the wire leads in order to get the LED array up near the tail light lens.

Gotta agree with Dr. Scum.

I'm not an expert but having been around LED's for a while, I know that not all LED's are the same. Just a quick look thru a Digikey or Newark catalog and you'll see what I mean.

A quality LED light would probably have uniform intensity LED's, quality resistors, soldering performed to some kind of specification, etc....
