Im at a loss.. last friday someone stole my 08' hyper out of the parking lot where i work. I've done just bout everything and thought wouldn't hurt to reach out to the community here for help and/or advice. I live in Wendover nv (North west border of nv and ut) right on I80.A small casino town with the majority of the clients coming out of salt lake city(which is where i'm assuming it went to) So i'm hoping this post might help any posters in the salt lake city area keep an eye out for me. Unfortunatly for me most bikes from what i understand don't get recovered and even with full coverage insurance i'm gonna end up with the short end if it comes to a claim. its pretty unique so hopefully i can get a lead or anything if it hasn't been chopped or changed already. Can't tell you how bummed i am. I miss my sweet duc so much and its only been few days. I appreciate any advice or info anyone can give me.

Check your local craigslist ads. Given the number of aftermarket parts on your bike there is a possibility that whoever stole it did it with the intention of tearing it down and selling the parts off on craigslist. There is generally more money in it to tear it down and sell the parts rather than the whole bike.

Either way, sorry for your loss, certainly sucks. One can only hope the dirtbag responsible winds up in a ditch somewhere.

I had a BBR KLX pit bike stolen from our barn at a horse show up in New York several years ago. It was tricked out with a lot of unique parts and had New Zealand flag graphics, Marzocchi forks, Elka shock, BBR rear swing arm, hot rod motor, excel rims, front and rear disc brakes and so on. I was sure it would surface or the parts would show up on the internet, but no such luck. I know how you feel and am sorry some Ass Hat pinched your bike. Thankfully yours was insured, mine was a total loss.

I had my MX bikes stolen a few years ago, and was lucky to get them back (even though they were trashed) but what helped is I sent pictures to ALL the police stations in the state, just so they knew what they were looking for. One of the patrol guys spotted it and busted the guy with a tractor trailer load of stolen street and dirt bikes.

Also if you are an AMA member let them know they will put in the next publican (magazine) they send out.

Good luck! I hope you find your baby!

Watch KSL.com classified for parts to show up. I'll also keep an eye open for it.

Sorry to hear bud, but I know how you feel. Had my 95 4 door gs-r stolen a few years back and its the worst feeling you can experience. Thankfully my insurance cut me a check for more than what I paid but its an awful thing to happen. So bad I wouldnt wish it upon my worst enemies. Dont worry though, these petty thieves get caught and eff'd in the A sooner or later.

fuk thieves!

Sorry for your loss man.

Keep an eye out for anything that would have your serial number on it too like the engine or the frame.

Very sorry to hear this. As far as I'm concerned, it's like stealing a horse - a hangin' offense! Sorry piece of shit deserves to be hung by the neck until DEAD, DEAD, DEAD! I hate thieves.
